Oh Christmas Tree....Oh Christmas Tree....

Oh I soooooo would love to get this tree for Christmas!
How freaking great is this? AND it's prelit! No light stringing!
I can just picture it in my apartment......Aaah yes, and then I'll get that fishnet leg lamp from the Ralphie movie.

The day after....

Good news about Turkey Day 2006...

1. I did NOT mistake any member of my family for a piece of turkey while holding a sharp knife.

2. The 5:03 AM wakeup call I got from someone and someone else, did NOT disturb my day off slumber, I got my sorry butt out of bed today at 10 AM as planned - and did next to nothing all day today!

3. Callie likes turkey! Can you tell?

Giving early thanks for family.....

Yeah right! Screw that!

I would like to kill them sometimes......

My parents are both retired. My dad just alittle under a year. My Mom has been retired, permanant disability for about 12 years now.

Dad, he's in "so so" health. Has somewhat controlled his diabeties. He's had a few heart attacks over the years. Has had triple bypass surgery once. But overall, he is fit. He walks 5 miles a day and rides a stationary bike for an hour just about every night.

Mom? Poor Mom.
She has 2 fake knees. She has had carpal tunnel surgery more times than I can remember. She has vertabre in both her neck and lower back fused together. She has a titanium rod in her lower back and she is in need of a hip replacement.

BUT, every Monday thru Friday for the last 23 months, my Mom has gotten up at 5:30 in the morning and watches my brother's youngest child. She will be 2 yrs old next month.

My Mom has had her here since she was 5 weeks old. Monday thru Friday from 7am til 5 or 5:30 pm! My mother and father do not take a dime, not that its offered, from my brother and sister in law. From day one my parents have bought the diapers, the baby wipes, the formula, the cookies. My parents have bought extra clothes and shoes for the baby.
My Mom has taught this child everything she knows. Colors. Numbers. To speak in sentences. Songs. Stories. Shapes. Her address and phone number. Right now they are doing the whole potty training thing.

Everyday, my Mom finds the strength to get on the floor and play in make believe tents. She plays at the playground and in the kiddie area at lunch outings. She does arts and crafts. She does it all.

My poor mother is exhausted by the end of the day, she is dead tired by the end of the week. But for the love of her family she keeps going. Week in and week out.

They tried putting the little niece in day care about 2 months ago, that lasted less than 2 days. I don't know who it was more heartbreaking for, Mom or the kid. None the less, back together they are.

Now my alcoholic brother and his dingbat wife - who dont have a pot to p*ss in - decide they want to have a "adult party" this weekend. So now they shuffle and scheme for a place for their 3 kids- ages 2, 8 and 11- to go overnight.

Oh you know WHO has the baby, right? RIGHT! ....AND the 11 year old too!
They were literally, dropped off at 5pm tonight.

I just sent the following email to my sister in law! I don't even give a crap what she does or doesnt write back to me, cause I wont have to see her or my brother til Thursday, when at THAT point I may have calmed down and wont biatch slap them!

Are you two kidding me? WTF?

Of course Mimi isnt going to say anything to you two,,,,,,and I'll let her vent to me all she wants......BUT you could be alittle more considerate!

You unlock the door and just let the kids in the house? You don't come up and say "here they are -- about what time you will pick them up tomorrow-- thank you-- nothing--just unlock and go?

She is very VERY -- I don't know - hurt--pissed--upset--feeling used--all of the above!
And right now, I would NOT even try to call her- you may just hear something you do NOT want to hear out of her.

And by all means, don't tell me to "shut up" cause I don't have my own kids and don't know what I'm talking about......cause BREEDING has nothing to do with RESPECT and being CONSIDERATE!
