Ding...Dong....Avon calling
Come on, this is funny!
Alligator Knocks on Florida Woman's Door
ap
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (March 23) - So now the alligators are going door to door. When Lori Pachelli heard someone knocking at the door of her home in a gated community in this southwest Florida community earlier this week, she looked out to see an unwelcome visitor on her front stoop: an 8-foot alligator.
The bull gator, which had wandered up from the pond behind the house, had a bloody lip from banging its head against the door.
"He was pretty big, pretty aggressive," Pachelli said, adding that the gator may have followed her home from walking her cocker spaniel, Trooper.
Pachelli's husband, Mike, said he sped home after his wife called him in hysterics. The animal remained at the Pachellis' door for about an hour before going back into the lake, where trapper John French captured it later.
French said it's not unusual to find male alligators in some pretty interesting places this time of year.
"You're starting into what's called the crawl season, the breeding season," he said. "We get them out of front porches, out of garages, out of swimming pools."
The Pachellis said they never dreamed an alligator would venture that close to the house.
"I've never seen them walking around (the neighborhood), let alone banging on my front door," Lori Pachelli said.

Cha-Ching!
So my Dad went to Pennsyl-tukey this weekend to visit my Grandmother. Her birthday is actually on St. Patty's Day. Really? Could I "be" anymore Irish?
Anyway, he gets back and says to me, "Here are some savings bonds your Grandmother "forgot" to give you. Three bonds with a face value of $100 each.
Ummmm? Okay? I look at the three bonds and they are from......Ready? You sure?
Okay, they are from 1972, 1976, and 1977.
Forgot? I think maybe she stacked them to balance her kitchen table! Or maybe they were keeping a window from rattling! Or being used as a book mark in her Bible! But really, forgot?
So I look them up on a government site I found and.....
Well the three bonds are now valued at over $1500.00 Cha-Ching!
WOW! That's alot of interest, hope I remember to claim it on my taxes next year when filing. :wink wink:
So anyway, off to the bank tomorrow to roll them over into some CD's or something.
Thanks Gram!

So I'm a day late.
Did you know that yesterday was "National Nerd Day" ???
Me niether, until my Dad
Why yesterday? Cause yesterday was 3.14 and::
The real first 3 digits of pi are 3.14
Yup, he's been VERY constructive with his time since retirement last year!

Out of the mouth of babes....
My niece is going to be 5 yrs old next week.
My parents babysat her and her two sisters last night.
This niece was told to go to bed for a zillionth time last night by my dad. She took two steps towards her bedroom, stopped, turned around to face him and said...
"You know, you're NOT exactly what I was hoping for in a Grandfather".....

Saw 2 bumper stickers today while out and about.
1. Save the environment..Plant a "bush"....BACK IN TEXAS!
And,
