Things I miss in my life...
Yeah, I guess its holiday blues rolling in.
Laughing at things with someone….
The warmth of someone next to me under the bed covers.
Confiding to someone.
Showers for two.
Back scratches…..Giving and receiving.
Being gently awakened in the morning.
Crying over things with someone instead of alone.
Fighting over the tv remote control with someone.
Being told to “get my ASS” out of bed for work.
Smelling perfume that belongs to someone other than me.
Being told my eyes are a beautiful shade of blue.
Being kissed goodbye in the morning.
Flipping a coin to see who washes the dirty dishes.
Holding hands.
Spending Sundays in PJ’s just relaxing and having a tug of war over sections of the Sunday paper.
Vacations to PTown.
Coming home to someone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
If any of you are still undecided as to what you think I may want for my birthday, I'll make it easy for you.
Either chip in for airfare to Nevada (I'll fly on the back of a duck if need be) or I'm sure this new place offers gift certificates! Hell, maybe they even do a "lease to own" option.
I'll rearrange my work schedule around whatever dates and times you pick! Oh yeah, I'm eeeeeasy like that!
Former “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss, whose previous career running a call-girl ring landed her in prison, is returning to the world’s oldest profession – to open a Nevada brothel catering to ALL women.

The Grinch has come and gone already....
I thought he only worked on Christmas Eve? Not in the off season?
He's been here. He stole my Christmas tree...REALLY! IT'S GONE! IT'S M.I.A. How does that happen?
I'm telling you last year I had a tree that was about 6 or 6 1/2 ft tall and it was prelit. It was brand new! First year I put it up. I remember it very clearly cause my Dad (the original Grinch) helped me with the light plugs.
It was right there in the corner of the living room. Up on a box (cause of the bunny) wrapped like a present. I remember thinking it looked nice and being all proud of myself for finally putting up a tree by myself for the first year since the EX left.
Well today, I started taking out some Christmas stuff and my Dad brought up the box with the tree in it for me.
I opened up the box and started putting it in the stand and stuff. I got about half way thru and realized-- WTF? WHERE DID THE LIGHTS GO?
They're gone. Its a totally different tree! Where is "MY" tree with the lights all strung nicely and conveniently?
UGH,,How does this happen? Well you know what I'm doing now, right?
Packing that bad boy back up into the box. I have NO patience for light stringing and crap.
Bottom line...Christmas is officially cancelled at T's house!

Things to remember.....
1. I'm NOT in my 20's anymore and actually DO NEED more than 4 hours of sleep a night.
2. It's not easy any longer to have a dozen or so drinks and then try and function the next day at work.
3. Trying to drink HOT coffee while your mouth is still numb from a root canal,,, not always the smartest thing to do.
4. Add "SHOUT" stain remover to the shopping list this week.
5. Remember that "some people" frown upon you nodding off in church.

Welcome to the Jungle.....
The ghetto...'Da hood....Whatever you want to call it.
Let me tell you about "MY" Sunday..."MY" day of rest..."MY" short and stress free day at work.
I work in a supermarket, yeah its not the most exciting or important job in the world, but its what I do. I'm in charge of the price changes in the computers and registers. I'm responsible for mantaining the shelf tags and the display signs.
So the sale weeks run Sundays thru Saturdays here in NJ...probably in most places I would guess, but could be wrong.
Anyway, the store I work in opens at 7am everyday, so "before" 7am on a Sunday I have to race around the store checking as many tags as I can and taking down all the old display sale signs and getting the new ones up. Oh yeah, its a walk in the park...NOT.
I know its not brain surgery but its not finger painting either.
So this past Sunday morning...

So this past Sunday morning...
I get to the store at 5:20 am, yes A.M.
It's pitch black outside cause of this daylight savings bullshit. As I am backing my car into the parking spot I notice a small fire by the front door of the store.
By the front door, they have one of those little areas enclosed for people to wait for the public buses when the weather is bad. Okay, you get the picture, right?
So I see the fire, now in the dark IN THE GHETTO I am searching my car for some bottled water to put on the fire. The fire burning of God only knows what! Of course I find none! So now what? Am I suppose to use my travel mug of coffee?
Let me tell you folks something, at 5:20 in the morning...on a SUNDAY morning, my coffee is about as close as I am getting to HOLY WATER! I do NOT want to waste it!
But looks like I have no choice. So I approach the fire by the little bus enclosure. I get all ready to take off the lid and start dumping it on the flames when what do I see? A FREAKING HOMELESS PERSON, SLEEPING ON THE BENCH BY THE FIRE! Oh and what is actually "on fire" you ask? The Sunday newspapers and all the inserts for them!
You know what? I'm not wasting MY HOLY WATER on that! Nope. Sorry. NOT going to do it.
Screw it, I went inside, sipped my coffee and dialed 911. Yup, a nice way to start the day. Caffeine. Fires. Homeless people. Thoughts of getting murdered or raped. Its a GREAT way to start the day!
