Goodbye.....You little furry focker.
Yup that's what I called him, oddly enough he would twitch his ears knowing I was speaking to him.
Who's going to THUMP at me when I yell at the Yankees on TV?
Who's going to follow me from room to room in hopes that I will stop at his treats and give him one?
Who's gonna jump up on me while I'm napping on the couch just to "make sure" I'm still there? Giving me that little bunny kiss as if he is my Prince Charming?
Who's gonna nudge me in the ankle as I do the dirty dishes at night? This translated to dishes done...coffee setup for morning...cage cleaned out...FOOD...FOOD...FOOD and bedtime for CC.
Who's going to sleep ontop of my feet under the desk as I read emails?
Who's going to take little nibbles out of the birthday cards for the kids every year? His own personal signature!
I'm well aware of the fact that people laughed at me behind my back...and to my face to about CC. They would say "It's just a rabbit" - well TO ME he was more than that.
He was my responsibility, he was my entertainment, he was my listener. He was at one point the reason I got my sorry A$$ out of bed. Yes, maybe he was a connection to my past in a way. But to ME, he was just so much more and I miss him already.
The apartment is spooky to me. For the very first time this morning, I was actually alone. All alone here. He hadn't even passed on yet, and I was totally lost here by myself.
Goodbye CC....This Momma loved you very very much!

The weekend from H.E.L.L.
I'm absolutly ready to just crash! What a shitty shitty weekend I've had.
First started on Friday afternoon, my paycheck was over $150 short! Bastards forgot to put me in for the sickday I took.
Then Saturday am, I let the little furball out of the cage. Do you like his little mohawk? Yeah, 2+ hrs at the vet hospital with make you alittle crazy.

Then Saturday am, I let the little furball out of the cage. Do you like his little mohawk? Yeah, 2+ hrs at the vet hospital with make you alittle crazy.
I could tell "something" was wrong. He would normally run out of his cage like a "bat out of hell" -- down his ramp, behind the couch and into the kitchen for his morning banana and oatmeal. I know he is in the kitchen by his nails on the floor.
I heard no nails. So I looked for him. And I looked for him. He was behind the couch. He wouldnt come out. Not for anything. I let him be, he has his "moments" when he just doesn't want to be bothered with anything or anyone. Go figure right? "MY" bun having an attitude!
I left his banana out for him. I left him his bowl of pellets. I left him his bowl of parsley greens too. I went about my day of errands and cleaning.
In the middle of the running around,,, oh no~ better hurry home. I've gotten an early visit from "Aunt Flo from Redbank" Just F-ing what I want to deal with 2 weeks early!
On and on the day goes....What can possibly go wrong now?
Oh the battery in my car totally D.I.E.S! That will be $100 Miss!
Come home again, this time for the night. CC the bun still has NOT moved from behind the couch or visited his litter pan or eaten anything all day. Now, I'm really starting to worry. But get convinced by others, well and myself, to wait and see how he is this morning.
So I lift him up and put him in his cage for the night. Fresh food and water, just in case.
I try and sleep. No use. I have a throbbing toothache and I'm putting Ora-jel in my mouth about every 45 mins. I think I got a total of 4 hours sleep all night.
Rise & shine at 4am to go to work. Check on CC and he is in the same spot I left him last night. Did not move. Did not eat. Did not drink.
F*#k! Now what? I MUST go to work. Only 4 hours, but MUST go!
In and out of work for 4 hrs and then rush CC to the animal hospital. His temp is only 95, it should be around 103 degrees. He is dehydrated and digestive track is blocked. He is in the ICU at the hospital.
I had to leave a deposit of 50% of what they "estimate" his stay to be. I laid out $800 today.
Just now as I'm writing this the hospital called and say he is no better. He is worse than this am. IV in him. Cathadore (sp?) in him. Pain meds. Syringe force feedings with meds trying to jump start his system.
Then the kicker question they ask: "If he goes into cardiac arrest, do I want them to perform CPR and other things to him"
WTF? WTF? This is why I'm not straight and have kids! I cant make these decisions! I'm NOT good under pressure! OMG my head is going to explode.
I'm so afraid the phone is going to ring in the middle of the night that I dont want to go to bed, but I'm sooooo F-ing tired from NOT sleeping last night.
**sorry this was so long**

I thought of the Princess today......
So I work for a large supermarket chain here in NJ...I'm a scanning coordinator. Pretty much means I'm responsible for the shelf tagging and computer pricing of the stuff sold in the store.
**Disclaimer, once I give the tags to the department managers to hang, its out of my hands if they do it or not!. Cause I know you're all thinking- "The scanners are ALWAYS wrong"
Actually, the scanners are right nearly 100% of the time, its the fact that shelf labels don't get changed correctly...
Anyway, I did an aisle audit today of a frozen department in one of the stores (HIDEOUS! Sooooo many missing and wrong tags)
But the highlight was this! I thought of the Princess. Actually almost bowed to the shelf!

Rock....Paper....Scissors
A friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, obviously has way toooo much time on her hands and would like the world to "ponder" the following statement:
I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no way Paper can beat Rock.
Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Are you kidding me?
Why the hell cant paper do this to scissors?
Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people?
Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class?
I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that $hit up in 2 seconds.
When I play rock/ paper/ scissors, I always choose rock.
Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit, I'm sorry, I thought paper would protect you.
Yup....I'm thinking its time for the kiddies to go back to school!
