Oh yippee

Tom Cruise is in love....He's like a little school girl giggly. It's all over the television, internet and print.
He wants the whole world to know about it.

He wants to shout it from the rooftops.

Do me a favor, shout it from the rooftops in sign language, I'll reply to you with my own sign language....Two words = one finger...then my dear Tom PLEASE JUMP OFF THAT ROOFTOP!

Trying to settle into a work routine.....still

So I've been at this....well not old, but not really new job for 4 weeks now. I guess I'm recycled help. But anyway here is the short version saga of whats going on.

I'm working for a large supermarket chain in the NY/NJ area. I worked for them already, from 1981-1999. I'm a scanning coordinator which means I'm responsible for the computer pricing, front end registers working properly, and for the shelf tags and end display signs.

So right now I am going from store to store, cause the family I work for owns about 30 stores total. One week here, one week there. Okay so I originally thought that would be a "good thing". Well here it is week #4 and

So I've been at this....well not old, but not really new job for 4 weeks now. I guess I'm recycled help. But anyway here is the short version saga of whats going on.

So much for the short version, huh? I'm in extended entry....

Anyway, its turning into a nightmare for me. Every store seems to do things differently, nothing drastically different, but enough to drive you crazy from day to day.

This week, I am actually in the store that I last worked in back in 1999. The woman who took over for me is "okay". She is responsible, dedicated and pays attention to detail. MAYBE too much!

You see when I left in 1999 I left her a notebook, you know the 3 ring binder type FULL of procedures and short cuts and stuff regarding the way the store ran and what had to be done on a day to day basis. I left her procedures of what gets done weekly, monthly, and even quarterly. I tried to be as thorough as I could because that is how it was previously handed over to me (Right Ellen?)

Well this woman who replaced me and who I am covering for this week while she is on vacation has got to be the biggest NUTCASE to ever work in a store!

She has the notes I left her, with things crossed out and dated when she stopped doing them or when she was told to stop doing them or when they just didnt apply anymore. I mean BLACKED OUT like it was a copy of the Warren Commission! 3/4's of a page BLACKED OUT leaving only 3 lines of procedures left on a page. GOOD GOD WOMAN, get a fresh sheet of paper and throw out the old crap! I'm seeing this on page after page after PAGE of procedures and manuals I have skimmed thru today. UGH!!

Oh, and old sales flyers too! Okay save one week...two weeks, I'll even say - save a full month BUT she has sales flyers from March of 2004 on the desk! What the hell? Does she think someone is going to come in this Memorial Day and second guess the price of a Fleet Enema from Easter Week 2004?

Aren't you glad I didn't type out the LONG version of this saga?

My boyfriend Tino

He is so dreamy...Have you heard of him? He plays on the Yankees, that's a baseball team for those of you "nonsport" people.

I went to see him where he works, you know Yankee Stadium, earlier in the week. I wore his jersey and in return he hit a 3run homerun for me. Actually he has hit homeruns in the last 7 out of 8 games!

Oh and today so far...2 at bats and he has 2 homeruns!
Yup, that's my baby!

I heart Tino!

I'm moving to Japan.....ASAP

I was watching Keith Olberman's MSNBC Countdown show this pm, and my mind is set....I'm Moving to Japan. Why?

Seems like the ~~desparate~~ smart thing to do at this point.

The commuter train system in Japan has started a "female only" train car for ALL commuter trains. Yup apparently there are many many men in Japan who instead of reading the morning paper, drinking their coffee/tea, or just catching a few extra ZZZZZ's on their way to office via the train, decide to grope women commuters instead.

So the last train car is now women only....

What? I'm sure I have a softer ~~grope~~ grip and as a bonus~~ I use hand cream daily! Aaaah soft.

Happy Mother's Day to All

2 Parents...2 Siblings with their spouses....2 mother in laws for the siblings....5 kids....1 dog...and 2 cats make for an EXHAUSTING day off from work.

But it was GREAT. Happy Mothers day Everyone!
PS...You can take the "parents" out, but you can't make them BEHAVE!~ Well at least in my Dad's case.

If I could be a CEO....it would be for a company related to the health field, then NO PERSON in need of a drug or medical procedure would be denied.

If I could be a magician....there would be NO MORE pulling rabbits out of hats! Grrrr, I hate when I see that.

If I could be a proctologist.....Oh good Lord would I get revenge on a few people I've crossed paths with in my life so far.

If I could be a backup dancer....it would be for Michael Jackson. Then the first chance I got I would trip him...take that stupid white glittery glove of his and pull it down over his head, like Howie Mandell use to do, til he took his last breath.

If I could be a farmer....I would make and sell enough food so that no one in the country would go hungry. As a bonus, we wont have to see Willie Nelson anymore doing Farm Aid concerts...

I'm sooooo tired

Can you believe it? I worked 2 whole days IN A ROW! I'm exhausted I tell ya. And the nerve, they actually want me to work 5 days in a row total this week. 5! F.I.V.E. ~~ After having off 13 months! Ugh!

Anyway, thanks to all who wished me well at the new job! It's actually going very well. Very well and I am seeing alot of people who I use to work with years ago.

On another note, a friend of mine who "still" lives the life of leisure out in California sent me this picture today. God this is just awesome to look at! Wildflowers in California. Of course I just have to "LOOK" at the picture and I start sneezing!

Anyway, thanks to all who wished me well at the new job! It's actually going very well. Very well and I am seeing alot of people who I use to work with years ago.

Say alittle prayer for me.....PLEASE

OMG....Tomorrow, Monday morning I have to go to work @ 7am.

Not a big deal to some of you, but to ME this is HUGE! You see, I haven't worked since 3/26/04! Yes, that's right 2004!

First I was on disability, for 6 months and then got laid off so was on unemployment for 6 months. Now its "SLAP" ~~ Back to reality!
I'm scared $h*t about it too.

Mostly, I'm afraid I'm not going to get up when the alarm goes off at 5:15am. I've gotten into a baaaad habit in the last year. Staying up with the TV and the computer til 1-2-3am and not getting up til 9am or so.

OMG! OMG! OMG!
