Happy Birthday Jan..

We just returned from a surprise 50th birthday party for our friend Janice, hosted by her husband, Ralph. It was a great party, at a restaurant with a 7 course meal. Jan was soo surprised, she cried. It was awesome.

For Laura's 40th, I threw a surprise party for her. For YEARS before that, she stated how she loved parties with deejays, and fun, and dancing, Sooo when she hit 40, I knew what I needed to do. I went to a restaurant, and hired a deejay, and invited 75 people (some who she NEVER expected) and made a weekend out of it.
I GOT HER.
She never expected it, and because I was able to pull it off, I was overjoyed.

One of us, (that would be me) is turning 50 this year. She (very to the point) asked me what I wanted..I am not used to being the center of attention. I am soo more about doing for others than doing for me. She is soo afraid of disappointing me..

I told her honestly. that there is nothing more that I would enjoy than..

going away with her. Some time, one-on-one...

Now, I would be overjoyed with a 3 day weekend down the shore..cause I am like that..3 days down the shore with her down the shore and I would be thrilled..

however...I have been told..

that although my birthday is in May, we wouldn't exactly be going away then
that I wouldn't find out where or when we would be going til we actually go..
that I am going to have to be okay with that..
that "some of you" know about the plans...

I am thinking that maybe it isn't 3 days "down the shore" (although as previously stated, I would be SO OKAY with that...)

Here's the deal, I since am told that because "some of you" have details about the aforesaid birthday plans..
I am not above bribing..

anyone talking?

50 No way, I was thinking more like 35. As for talking, I know nothing, but if Laura reads this and the trip is headed in our direction, I will be angry because she did not include the three of us!!

And as for you miss nosey. Just go along for the ride.

OH I want to go to the shore. Oh wait...I saw the 14 miles of shore line yesterday. What the heck. I came all this way to see 14 flipping miles of shore line.
Are you seriously turning 50? Good heavens. I need my eye cream. If you're turning 50 then I'm turning 40 or is it 39. Oh heck I can't remember. AALLLLLLLZHEIMERSSSSSSS AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

Ok helps if I re read what I type. oh vey. Enjoy the shore whenever she decides to take ya. I love those kind of surprises. It's a little cold and unpredictable right now as I am experiencing. It was raining cats and dogs here (in Kittery and the Hamptons) yesterday. Honestly, it's beautiful. But the tip about the panties still stands.
