Yep, the harder they fall.
Yesterday, while home for the snow, I decided to make good use of my time by doing some laundry. Our laundry room is 3 floors down. So that means that everytime I go to change loads, I trek the three flights down with laundry basket and my assorted laundry products. I was on my third or fourth load when, well sh*t, I have no clue what happened, but I fell.
HARD.
My laundry basket jammed into my ribs on the right, and I fell a**-over-teakettle (my Mom used to say that)
until I landed flat on my back
like
a
flounder.
It took me a minute to realize what happened....all I could think was "OW."
I thought at first that I broke my leg...but it still works..kinda..
I was hurtin' for certain last night, but not nearly as much as today.
My bruises..a HUGE grapefruit sized BLACK one on my left ass-leg (you know what I mean- right where your ass meets your leg) another behind my right knee, WTF? One on my right forearm..my ribs are killing me. I think out of my whole body, my left hand is the only part unaffected.
For those who will not see these bruises...you are missing a sight..
For our Florida guests, I was told to tell you that these bruises are in no way attributed to Laura...
Yeah.. right...

When I rented the apartment in my parents house I had to drag the laundry up and down stair and thank god I didn't fall. Yep, you must have vacation...Take care

OUCH would be an understatement! I hope she is giving you lots of TLC!
I fell down our basement stairs a few years ago - it knocked the wind out of me, so I couldn't even yell for help - for a few seconds I thought I was going to die. and then I wished I had, as Mr. Incredible just laughed his a$$ off at me.

Oh, OUCH. Poor you. There is nothing scarier than realizing that you are falling, but can't do anything about it. I think you should make a new rule: Laundry is too dangerous for me. Someone else will have to do it!
